Stefano Robol, born in Rovereto in 1963, lives and works in Rovereto, in the province of Trento. He was a specialized carpenter for 27 jears, and his first guitar, a steel-string guitar, was built at the request of his sister-in-law. The result was good but mostly it was the birth his passion for luthery. He read many books, icluding that of Mario Garrone and then enjoyed attending his workshop. He completed various courses on building with John Monteleone, on adhesives, on the tonewood. He met many luthiers with whom he is still in contact. He says:
"I prefer to construct classical guitars bearing in mind the physical laws of sound projection. The construction of which is very intuitive to me. I believe I recognise more about myself inwhat Pietro Gallinotti did, that is, first I observe and work the soundboard (the most important, says Romanillos) and according to what the table tells me, I decide everything, the thickness of the back and side, the neck, all of which are assembled in controlled humidity. I believe what Torres said: My secret? I do not have anything else that is not here (and showed his thumb and index).
